Justin Brashares
Professor and G.R. & W.M. Goertz Chair, Environmental Science, Policy, and Management (ESPM)
Justin Brashares’s work explores how human consumption of animals and conversion of natural environments inform, cause, and are caused by economic, political, and societal issues. The Brashares group strives to propose empirically-based, interdisciplinary strategies for biodiversity conservation. His research efforts in ESPM can be placed within three foci:
- - Community and population ecology of wildlife in altered ecosystems
- - Causes and ecological consequences of wildlife utilization
- - Landscape planning and monitoring for wildlife conservation
More about his research can be found in the Brashares Group website.
