About Discover Cal

What is Discover Cal?

Discover Cal is a lecture series that brings UC Berkeley’s distinguished faculty to the extended Cal family for compelling lectures in an informal setting.

Who is invited?

Alums, parents, and friends are welcome to join members of the Charter Hill Society at Discover Cal events.

Who produces it?

The lecture series is brought to you by University Development and Alumni Relations at Berkeley.

May I suggest future topics?

How can I make a gift to Cal?

You can make a gift through the Give to Berkeley website.

Registration

Is there a limit to the number of friends for whom I can get tickets? Do they have to be Cal parents and/or alums?

There is no limit on the number of guests, provided there is availability. Guests do not have to be Cal parents and/or alums.

My guest can no longer attend. May I bring a different guest?

Yes. Please contact us at events1@berkeley.edu or 888.UNIV.CAL (888.864.8225) to update your guest’s name as soon as possible.

How can I request an accommodation for disability to receive access?

If you require an accommodation for effective communication (ASL interpreting/CART captioning, alternative media formats, etc.) or information about campus mobility access features in order to fully participate in this event, please contact the Discover Cal team at events1@berkeley.edu or 888.UNIV.CAL (888.864.8225) with as much advance notice as possible and at least 7–10 days in advance of the event.
