Dan Schnur
Schnur is a lecturer in political science at Berkeley’s Institute of Governmental Studies. One of California’s leading Republican political and media strategists, he has worked on four presidential and three gubernatorial campaigns. He served as the national director of communications for the 2000 presidential campaign of Sen. John McCain, spent five years as chief media spokesman for California Gov. Pete Wilson, and worked as the press secretary for Wilson’s 1994 reelection campaign. Schnur writes regularly for the Los Angeles Times, the San Francisco Chronicle, and the Sacramento Bee, and acts as a political commentator on radio and television. He is a graduate of the American University in Washington.
