Kira Stoll is a sustainability and carbon solutions advocate with expertise in higher education administration and planning.

As higher education refreshes in the 21st century to meet global demands, Kira is focusing on positioning the environment as a core value in the change and actualizing initiatives that transform operations and align with institutional, state, and federal priorities.

In her role as UC Berkeley’s chief sustainability and carbon solutions officer, Kira’s name is synonymous with the campus’s sustainability strategies. Her work involves strategic leadership advising and developing cutting-edge carbon reduction, renewable energy, waste and water use reduction, and green building initiatives. (All the things!)

Kira coordinates with the academic community on living labs, helps to integrate sustainability into the curriculum, and fosters an inclusive culture of sustainability at Berkeley.

She is a true leader and visionary who can also make tangible and pragmatic change! When you say “sustainability,” the Berkeley campus says “Kira.”
