Steve Welter

Welter is a professor emeritus in the department of environmental science, policy, and management at Berkeley. Research projects in his laboratory have generally fallen within two major categories: plant-insect interactions or understanding and managing insect populations in agricultural settings. The management component of his research has focused on developing environmentally rational integrated pest management programs for tree fruit or vegetable crops with a strong emphasis on the behavioral ecology of moths in pheromone permeated environments.
